The Papoose coins are a fun way to explore colours, sparkly goodness and stacking. These treasure-like blocks have sparkly gems on one side. Use them for pretend play as well as building. This set comes presented in a gorgeous wooden tray.
The coins are made from Beech wood, the tray is Beech and Plywood (for the bottom). A note on the gems: in some, tiny specks of imperfections are visible. These are unavoidable. There is also a lot of handling that goes on before the actual product arrives in your home, this may also be part of the reason why tiny scratches can be seen on some gems. In working with this product Papoose/Colours of Australia sincerely do not believe this impacts in any way on the play value and it only happens occasionally.
Founded in 1991 by Australian Renske Carbone, Papoose Toys and Creative Wood Company under the umbrella of Colours of Australia produce natural toys and loose parts for open-ended creative play. Working with natural materials, production takes place in small communities in Nepal, Sri Lanka and Indonesia. Pure wool felt toys and loose parts are made by hand at fairly traded rates of pay. The Creative Wood Company products are made primarily using waste from the furniture industry with wood supplied exclusively from wood traders meeting the SVLK Timber Legality Verification.
